One piece of advice to patients about their oral health: A patient's oral health is closely tied to a patient's overall health therefore making it imperative to visit the dentist twice a year for cleanings and exams. Don't skip your 6 month cleaning!!.

Most significant changes in the industry: I feel the success of dental implants in the replacement of missing teeth has had a huge impact on the way we restore a patient's smile.

Best part of being a dentist is: I love the close relationships you can build with your patient's and helping them overcome any fears or anxieties about sitting in the chair.

Person whom I admire greatly: I admire my mom who taught me to work hard in school and in life. She had the biggest hand in where I am today as a dentist.

Greatest lesson I learned from my childhood: I learned that success takes discipline. You have to work hard to achieve your goals.

I knew I wanted to be a dentist when: I knew I wanted to be a dentist my freshman year at SMU- I was shadowing a dentist and it seemed like a very hands-on career with an artistic side and would allow me to have a very family-friendly schedule when the time came to raise children.

When I’m not at the dental office, you can usually find me: With my husband, Jed and son, Kai either on the ski slopes, beach or Texas lakes enjoying life.
